Helal Saeed Almarri
Helal Saeed Almarri has worked with major companies across a breadth of sectors in the Middle East and the UK and is currently heading the Middle East region’s leading exhibitions and conference group – the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
As CEO of DWTC, Helal Almarri is responsible for the strategy and development of the multi-dimensional DWTC group which aims to make Dubai the world’s leading destination for all major exhibitions, conferences, and events. His current business portfolio includes Venues, Exhibitions and Events Management, Real Estate and Hospitality.
Mr. Almarri is responsible for ensuring that DWTC’s strategy for growth is aligned with, and contributes significantly to the overall Vision for Dubai as mandated by His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, by creating the premier global networking platform for business tourists in Dubai.
Helal Almarri’s prior experience includes working at McKinsey & Company and at KPMG in London, where he serviced a diverse portfolio of clients. Currently he also sits on a number of boards within the UAE, including the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, ARAMEX, Depa United Group, Emirates Investment Services, Zabeel Investments and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Sports Complex.
Having graduated with an MBA from the London Business School, Helal Almarri is also a qualified chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
